Board Composition and Appointment Process
The Allen County Fire & EMS District is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees. To ensure balanced community representation and fiscal oversight, members are appointed by local governing bodies as follows:
- Allen County Commissioners: Appoint six (6) board members.
- Allen County Council: Appoint three (3) board members.
The board is currently transitioning to its full capacity, with six (6) of the nine (9) members officially appointed to date. The remaining appointments will be updated here as they are finalized by the county council.
